Mar 1995 Established as Jiangsu Cuccess Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and pioneered the “General Dealership” model in China’s pharmaceutical industry
Mar 2001 Acquired Hainan Simcere Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., providing our company with drug manufacturing capabilities
Feb 2003 Acquired Nanjing Simcere Dongyuan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., further strengthening our product portfolio and production capabilities
Jan 2004 Established Jiangsu Simcere Pharmaceutical Research and Development Co., Ltd., providing our company a significant research and development platform
Sep 2005 Hony Capital Ltd., a subsidiary of Legend Holdings, completed it’s strategic investment in Simcere
May 2006 Simcere acquired 80% of Shandong Simcere Medgenn for RMB200 million and launched its patented anti-cancer drug, Endu (also known as "'Endostar")
April 2007 Simcere sucessfully launched its initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "SCR". This transaction was the first Chinese Pharmaceutical enterprise listing on NYSE.
Oct 2007 Simcere completed the acquisition of 51% ownership in Boda Pharmaceutical and captured 100% of the fast-growing injectable edaravone market.
Nov 2007 Simcere acquired 85% equity interest in Nanjing Tung Chit Pharmaceutical and obtained the nedaplatin market leading chemotherapeutic drug Jiebaishu.
Apr 2008 Simcere acquired 70% equity interest in Wuhu Zhongren bringing in SinoFuan, a fluorouracil implant used against tumors.
May 2008 Simcere Pharmaceutical Group announced SFDA approval of first-to-market generic Biapenem injection Anxin.
Aug 2008 Simcere announced interim report on Endu Phase IV clinical studies.
May 2009 Simcere entered the antibody and vaccine industry through the acquisition of equity stakes in two domestic companies, Shanghai Celgen and Jiangsu Yanshen.
July 2011 Simcere reached a framework agreement with Merck to establish a pioneering joint venture, which will focus on serving China's rapidly expanding healthcare needs by providing significantly improved access to quality medicines in major therapeutic areas.
Aug. 2011 Simcere received SFDA new drug approval for Iremod, an anti-rheumatic medication independently developed by Simcere and the first Iguratimod drug available on the global market.
