The other day, Mr. Lee Yi Shyan, Minister of Ministry of Trade and Industry, Singapore made an inspection in Nanjing Xuzhuang Software Industry Park, and paid a special visit in Simcere’s marketing and R & D headquarters located in the Park together with his group.

 

Mr. Yin Xiaojin, Senior R & D Vice President of Simcere Pharma warmly received Mr. Lee and his group, accompanying him in visiting the Enterprise Exhibition Hall of Simcere and the modernized laboratory with an area of 5,000 square meters for Simcere pharmaceuticals research institute. After listening to Mr. Yin Xiaojin’s introduction on Simcere’s development process, operating performance and progress of new drugs’ R & D, Mr. Lee kept nodding repeatedly. In particular, when he was told that after being listed on overseas market, Simcere had invested 3 to 5% of the sales revenue into new drugs’ R & D each year, and the proportion of R & D investment was escalated to reach 7% in 2009, Mr. Lee expressed high appreciation to the enterprise strategy of focusing on R & D.

 

At last, Mr. Lee expressed his expectations on carrying out more cooperation in innovative enterprises and business incubators between Jiangsu and Singapore.
